Challenged Athletes Foundation
Major David M. Rozelle is a below-knee amputee, and an inspirational icon for American soldiers injured in the conflicts abroad. While commanding 140 troops in Iraq, he lost part of his right leg when a land mine exploded under his Humvee.
Operation Rebound, through the Challenged Athletes Foundation, provides post-rehabilitative support and mentoring to American soldiers suffering a permanent disability - such as amputation - in the recent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
CAF raises money to help people with physical disabilites pursue an active lifestyle through physical fitness and athletics. CAF’s mission is clear: give those with the desire to live active, competitive lifestyles every opportunity to compete in the sports they love.
By making a donation towards my fundraising goal you will directly help a challenged American soldier in need.
I have paid for my own race fees so all donations go to Operation Rebound.
Thank you for joining me in giving back to those who have given us so much!
